Do I understand it correctly? Shooting the reclining statue in IR allows the white of the statue to stand out from the white of the background - perhaps because at a different temperature?

I guess that marble and brickwork reflect slightly different amounts of infrared - or it could be the pigmentation of the frescos. My hunch is that marble would be a lot cooler.
